Working closely and directly with our in-house team and connection design partner allows for a more efficient flow of vital design communication, helping us to avoid connection design delays and misunderstandings. SteelTech also provide in-house & external Engineering solutions on all projects. These solutions include development of standard part databases, simple connection tables & templates, connection selection flow-charts along with connection capacity checking tools.

Not all connections on a building can be taken out of the handbook of steel construction. In these instances we can get these connections designed. Our engineers will closely work together with the engineer of record, to ensure that these connections meet the job requirements. We deliver,

• Detailed calculations and complete text

For specialized connections like “Built-Up” sections the Construction Model is used to pre-plan a connection concept for these situations ahead of time. This greatly reduces the impact of incomplete design and ensures the smooth, continuous completion of the Detailed Production Model. Once an area of framing has been released for production, SteelTech’s connection design team creates the necessary connection details required to connect the steel to steel and steel to concrete elements.
